The city of Richardson located approximately fifteen miles north of Dallas in the counties of Dallas and Collin in northeastern Texas.  Established in the 1840s by settlers from Kentucky and Tennessee, Richardson’s population (which was around 600 in 1910) rocketed from 1,300 in 1950 to more than 56,000 in 1972.  Present day Richardson is home to approximately 100,000 residents who enjoy the many amenities of the city and the lovely warm climate that brings hot sultry summers and moderate warm winters to the area.

Richardson is famous for its festivals!  Festivals and events of note include the Cottonwood Art Festival, held the first weekend of each October, and the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival, a three-day extravaganza held each May that features live entertainment on six stages, the Taste of Texas Food Garden, races for runners and cyclists, games and activities for kids of all ages, and more!

Located just north of Dallas, the city of Richardson offers a world of convenience with easy access to I-635 (LBJ Freeway), St Hwy 190 (President George Bush Turnpike), and US Hwy 75 (North Central Expressway), shuttle service to both DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field, and mass transit services by bus or rail through DART, the Dallas Area Rapid Transit System.
